Chery is opening an R&D centre at the UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, retuning steering, chassis and driver assistance for British roads — so the UK car will differ from the one sold in China. It is also why we are not repeating the performance and range figures circulating from overseas: they are measured on a different test cycle to the WLTP standard used here. When we publish numbers, they will be Britain's.
